In-situ PUR foam: Cold insulation
that simply foams in to place on site

Insulating temperatures as low as -180°C? G+H Insulation developed SITUPUR®, a CFC-free in-situ PUR foam for cold insulation, especially for this purpose. The polyurethane spray foam is poured as a liquid mixture directly onto the object to be insulated, between the container wall or pipe and the sheet metal cover. The chemical reaction between a polyol mix and isocyanate causes the SITUPUR® to foam in the cavity, where it then hardens to become a solid insulation material.

The in-situ PUR foam for cold insulation is flame retardant and bonds well to the metal cover. This provides effective surface protection and weather resistance and acts as a vapor barrier in cooling applications. The advantages of low thermal conductivity, high compressive strength and the option of flexible insulation established the in-situ PUR foam for cold insulation firmly on the market many years ago. The same applies for the in-situ PUR foam for heat insulation.
