Elasto Rubber-Metal Blocks

Elasto Rubber-Metal Blocks are often used as vibration isolation bearings for machines and plant. These damping elements are made of natural rubber vulcanized onto metal plates and are specially designed for compression and shear loading. As with the Elasto Circular Elements, they exhibit relatively high material damping, which reduces the vibration amplitudes of the elastically supported system when resonance occurs and shortens the oscillation decay process after shock loading. In comparison to synthetic rubber spring materials, the natural rubber used here has better elastic properties.

The right solution for any application

With our many years of experience in the field of vibration isolated bearings, we are able to offer various models of the Elasto Rubber-Metal Blocks, to provide favorable installation options for almost every application. And the Elasto Rubber-Metal Blocks that can be used at temperatures between -20°C and +70°C are also available with a choice of two different Shore hardness values in accordance with DIN 53505. We are also happy to develop special versions with other dimensions or rubber hardness values, or versions made of synthetic rubbers, to suit the customer’s requirements and the specific application.

Although the Elasto Rubber-Metal Blocks must be protected from permanent exposure to oil, grease and fuels, we make sure that their function and service life are not affected by occasional and slight smearing with oil. Our accessories also include a protective coating, which protects the material from UV radiation, ozone and oil and is recommended for outdoor applications.
