Building physics test benches

Discover our state-of-the-art building physics test rooms, specifically designed to perform a variety of tests and measurements. In addition to our primary reverberation room, we have on-site test rigs for wall, window, door, floor or ceiling elements. The rooms can be combined in different configurations to create an optimal test environment. Whether you want to use several rooms at the same time or combine specific rooms for certain tests, we have the right solution for you.

The rooms fulfil all the requirements for determining the absorption coefficient in accordance with DIN EN ISO 354 for validating the acoustic absorption properties of insulation materials, but can also be used as a class 1 reverberation room in the method for determining sound power in accordance with DIN EN ISO 3741. The primary reverberation chamber can be used to verify the sound insulation of capsule systems in accordance with DIN EN ISO 11957.

An opening in the wall between an anechoic chamber and a reverberation chamber can be used as a test rig for determining insertion loss (e.g. measurements on filters that attenuate a signal) but also as a test rig for components that require a free-field environment on one side and a reverberation chamber environment on the other.

Sound attenuation measurements within the DIN EN ISO 10140 series of standards are also no problem. The test openings between the rooms also allow tests to be carried out on special components according to customer specifications.

Our maximum sound attenuation limit is R’W = 82 dB, so testing components with high sound attenuation is not a problem.
