Technically challenging refrigeration insulation project successfully completed

Last year, our G+H Isolierung branch in Hanover/Sarstedt successfully completed a complex project at a food processing plant. The work took place whilst production was ongoing and in the middle of the harvest season – an environment that demanded the utmost precision, flexibility and careful coordination between all trades.

Project scope and implementation

  • Indoor area: Insulation of refrigeration pipes with Armaflex to reliably prevent condensation and energy losses.
  • Outdoor area: Insulation of refrigeration pipes and a storage tank with Armaflex in combination with a robust aluminium sheet casing.
  • Manufacturing: A key quality factor in the project was the production of the aluminium sheets in our own central workshop at Isolierungen Leipzig GmbH. There, the sheets were manufactured to exact dimensions, to a controlled production standard and precisely tailored to the project’s requirements, and delivered on schedule. This in-house manufacturing expertise ensured the highest level of fit and a smooth on-site installation.

Results and Added Value

Thanks to the professional execution of the work, condensation was significantly reduced and compliance with the required process temperatures was reliably ensured. This contributes to stable, energy-efficient and reliable plant operation and is a key prerequisite for the storage of potatoes, which, with their high water content of over 75%, are particularly susceptible to temperature fluctuations.

The result is stable, efficient and reliable plant operation – even under the increased demands of the production-intensive harvest phase.

The project impressively demonstrates how important precise planning, skilled execution and high-quality materials manufactured in-house are for the operational reliability and efficiency of modern production facilities.
