Highly Absorbing Room (HAR)
The highly absorbent room (HAR) is unique in its time. It is used to measure the emission spectra of test specimens in the semi-free field down to extremely low frequencies in accordance with DIN EN ISO 3745. The HAR is equipped with flat absorbers on the ceilings and walls. Its heavy-duty base plate allows heavy test specimens, such as cars, to be tested. The particularly large dimensions allow reliable measurements under free-field conditions up to a cut-off frequency of 30Hz. The anechoic chamber can be connected to the full free-field chamber via a wall opening.
